Bess Thomas, 100, of Meadville, died Feb. 19, 2010, at Meadville Nursing Home.
Graveside services were at Midway Cemetery in Meadville, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Thomas was born Aug. 24, 1909, in Lawrence County, to George Turnage and Annie Elizabeth Wilson.

William "Bill" S. Van Wagner, 87, of Smithdale, died Feb. 19, 2010, at Jaquith Nursing Home in Pearl.

Burial was in the Bethel Methodist Church Cememtery in Lincoln County.
Mr. Wagner was born Jan. 30, 1923, in Montele, N.Y., to Allen and Rose Van Wagner.

Burlan Leroy "Bud" McDavid, 73, of Zachary, La., died Feb. 19, 2010.

Mrs. Rawls was born Feb. 23, 1915, in Marion County, daughter of Marion and Classie Jefferson Magee.

Freddie W. Brock, 66 of Smithdale died Feb. 19, 2010, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb.
Visitation was at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb with Rev. Clint Johnson officiating. Burial was in Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.
Mr. Brock was born Oct. 9, 2943, in New Orleans, to Freddie Otto and Bonnie Mae Stinson Brock.

James E. "Jimmy" Smith Sr., 63, of Magnolia, MS, passed away Feruary 18, 2010 at SWRMC in McComb.
Services were held Saturday at Unity Bapitst Church in Magnolia with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. Reverend Wayne Fredrick and Reverend Ron Boysel officiated. Jones Family Funeral Services of McComb was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Smith was born September 23, 1946, in McComb, MS. He was the son of the late Charles D. Smith and Vivian S. Smith.

Maj. Thomas A. "Tommy" Nicholson (Ret.), 90 of Lakeland, Fla., died of cancer Feb. 6, 2010.
