Georgetta McNees Curtner, 82, of Athens, died Monday morning at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a native of Osyka, Mississippi and longtime resident of Athens.
She was a daughter of the late Joe and Margaret Ott McNees.
Graveside services were at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Rev. Lea Rust officiating.

J.R. Welch, Jr., 79, died December 27, 2009 at his residence in McComb following a lengthy illness. He was born March 15, 1930 in Madison Parish, LA. He was the son of John Richmond Welch, Sr. and Callie Lee Davis Welch.
Visitation was at East Union Baptist Church with Dr. Emon white and Dr. David Millican officiating. Burial was in the cchurch cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.

He was the son of Jesse Randolph "Randy" Brownell and Eura Lee Taylor Brownell.

Louis D. "L.D." Jones Sr. 55, of Brookhaven, died of cardiopulmonary arrest Dec. 5, 2009, at McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in McComb, after a lengthy illness.
Visitation was at R.E. Tyler Funeral Home in Brookhaven, and at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Brookhaven. Rev. Phillip Sterling officiated. Burial was in Mount Zion M.B. Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.
Mr. Jones was born may 1 1954, in Chicago. He was the son of Ellis Jones of Summit and Dorothy Byrd of Brookhaven.

Mary Lois Crawford, 89, of Tylertown, died there Dec. 6, 2009, at Walthall County General Hospital. Visitation was at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in Tylertown. Services were at the funeral home chapel, with Rev. W.L. Tullos and Rev. Shane Freeman officiating. Burial was in Rushing Cemetery.
Mrs. Crawford was born Aug. 6, 1920, in Walthall County to Robert Franklin Ryals and Nancy Pauline Fowler Ryals.
