SOUTH PIKE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES THE CLASS OF 2024--- On Saturday, May 18, 2024, commencement exercises for the graduation of the class of 2024 was held at Willie Earl Jones Coliseum in Magnolia. The presentation of colors was performed by the JROTC Color Guard (see right), with the welcome given by Mikiayla Smith. The challenge was given by Salutatorian Avery Mixon, who also was Star Student of the class, making the highest ACT score. The valedictory address was given by Valedictorian Myeisha Simmons. The farewell address was given by Bryanna Hughes. The presentation of diplomas was conducted by Dr. Angela Lowery, Ms. Jasmine Jackson, Ms. Chander Jenkins, school board president Percy Martin, and Tyrone Varnado. The band of South Pike played “Pomp and Circumstance” as the processional and the recessional. (See Page A6 for more photos.)
