Audrey Belle Price 1941 - 2025
Audrey Belle Price, 83, of Jayess, passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on January 31.
She loved her Lord and will be sadly missed.
Visitation was held on February 4, from 5PM to 8PM at East Union Baptist Church in Magnolia, and continued February 5, from 10AM with services at 12PM. Rev. Brandon Lynch, Rev. Wade Barnes and Rev. James Lee Ravencraft did officiate and burial was in East Union Cemetery. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb was in charge of arrangements.
Audrey was born on July 14, 1941 (Pike County) to the late, Floyd and Margarette Ravencraft of Magnolia.
She graduated from Magnolia High School (South Pike). She worked at Gibson’s Discount Center in bookkeeping and management. She also worked at Kellwood Company as an office clerk, City of McComb Water Office, and Dollar General.
She loved working and greeting people with a smile on her face. She took joy in trying to make people feel happy.
She had a big heart always trying to help care for and do things for others. She cared for family and friends when they were down and needed her. She was always ready to give.
She loved all holidays and family gatherings especially Christmas.
In 1971, Audrey married the love of her life, Herman Wayne Price in McComb MS. He says those were the best years of his life and a marriage made in Heaven. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She loved her family dearly. Her hobbies were cooking, baking, gardening, caring for animals, and loved being outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Floyd Mark Long and 1 daughter, Teresa Mae Stewart.
She was preceded in death by 1 sister Jewerlean Andrews and 4 brothers, John Dudley Ravencraft, Codilla (Cody) Ravencraft, and Floyd Milton Ravencraft. She was also preceded in death by many family members who were very special to her.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years and 6 months, Herman Wayne Price; 1 brother Roy Ravencraft and wife Patricia. She is also survived by sisterin-law Delores Ravencraft, sister-in-law Mary Hannah Causey, and 1 brother-in-law Jimmy Dale Andrews. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Hospice Compassus for providing great care and always being so kind and thoughtful. In lieu of flowers donations could be made in her honor to St Jude Children’s Hospital.
