Charles E. Anderson 1956 - 2025

Charles E. Anderson, 69, of Centreville, died Aug. 30, 2025, in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Saturday, Sept. 13, at Mount Zion Methodist Church, 1547 Highway 48, Centreville. Pastor Larry Lee will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Anderson Funeral Home of Gloster in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Anderson was born April 17, 1956, in Amite County, the son of Mr. Willie James Anderson and Mrs. Edna Mae Anderson.

He was a retired chip factory worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Curtis and Robert Earl Anderson; 2 nieces, Dr. Kimberely Bolden Johnson and LaShonda Jackson; and 2 nephews, La’Kendrick Demond Anderson and James Jackson.

Survivors include 3 sisters, Gracie Anderson, Minnie Anderson and Clementine (Johnnie) Bolden; 2 brothers, Willie (Ruthie) Anderson Jr., and James K Anderson; a sister-inlaw, Alma Anderson; an aunt, Minnie Covington; a special friend, Emma Taplin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
