PAPER is the online tutoring service used across the state of Mississippi. The recent partnership with the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) made 24/7 live tutors available to all students in the South Pike School District (SPSD).
From March 1 through March 31, PAPER held a Math Missions Madness Contest. During the challenge, students were to complete as many Math Missions (lessons) as possible.
Pike and surrounding counties are part of the Southern Regional Education Service Agency (S-RESA). The top 3 students from each of the 6 Mississippi Regional Education Service Agencies (RESA) were recognized.
In late April, PAPER announced all 3 top students from S-RESA are Eva Gordon Upper Elementary School students!
For her outstanding work using the PAPER Program with her students, a 5th-Grade Math teacher has also won an award. Ms. Shelby Tobias has been offered round trip airfare to Las Vegas, hotel accommodations, meals, and an Uber voucher.
While in Vegas, Tobias will share with other educators from across the United States methods she used to encourage students’ PAPER usage.
Congratulations, Ms. Shelby Tobias and Thank you, Eva Gordon Upper! Tobias, third from left, in the above picture is Eva Gordon Upper’s Teacher of the Year 2022-2023.
