Frances W. Varnado 1933 - 2025

Frances W. Varnado, 92, of McComb, passed away November 6, 2025 at Camellia Estates of McComb. Graveside services were held at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Smithdale on November 9. Brother Hunter Wooldridge officiated.

Frances was born June 26, 1933 to the late Elige Westbrook and Maudie Laster Westbrook.

She was a retired rural mail carrier for many years in Smithdale, MS.

She loved cooking, and working in her yard and being with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Burnell Varnado; a son Richard W. Butler; 2 brothers Earl Westbrook and Lewis Westbrook; and a sister Ira W. Kent.

She is survived by a son, William Butler (Debbie); a daughter Charlotte Rebecca Butler; and a daughterin-law Gail Butler; 4 granddaughters Jennifer Woodard (Sonny), Jennifer Butler, Stephanie Butler, and Nikki Butler Hollingsworth (Dillon); 4 great-grandchildren Maddie, Jack, and Hamilton Woodard, and Carlee Addison; and many nieces and nephews.
