Gleen Diane Register, 79, a resident of McComb, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on February 18, surrounded by family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28, at 10AM with memorial services at 12PM at First Baptist Church McComb. Brother Richard Scoggins and Rick Edmonds will officiate. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Gleen was born to Richard Jerome Scoggins and Gleen Lorraine Looney Scoggins on February 26, 1946. She was the eldest of her siblings and a loving mother to 3 children, 2 daughters from McComb, and 1 son.

In her younger years, she worked for the Orange County Sheriff's Department, where she said the Lord gave her opportunities to share the Gospel. She later worked at the McComb Police Department until her retirement. To her family and friends, she was a blessing and a best friend who never missed morning coffee and Bible study.

Taking her grandchildren to Sunday school brought her great joy. One of her youngest grandsons gave her the nickname "Grandma Cookie," and everyone knew her as Mrs. Diane. There is no doubt she left a legacy of love and planted the seeds of salvation in many hearts. Her greatest wish was for all of her family to know the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Clara Looney; her parents, Richard Jerome Scoggins Sr. and Gleen Lorraine Scoggins; her brother Curtis Scoggins; brother-in-law Michael Spann; granddaughter Dianni Lopez, and nephew Mark Reeves.

Diane is survived by her daughters Katherine R. Doyle (Michael), and Holly Donnaud (Daniel); son James Register (Shylo); 1 sister, Susan Spann; 2 brothers, Jerry Scoggins, Sr. (Belinda), and Richard Jerome Scoggins, Jr. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews.

We invite you to celebrate the homegoing of one of God's precious saints.
