Glenn D. Carlisle Sr., 76, of Summit, passed away on October 1, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

A visitation was held on October 5, at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb from 9AM until services at 11AM followed by a graveside service at the Fellowship Baptist Church cemetery in Summit, MS. Dr. David Millican did officiate.

Glenn was born on February 7, 1950, in McComb. He was the son of the late Robert N. Carlisle and Mattie Cheatham Carlisle.

Glenn was a retired Firefighter for the McComb Fire Department and was of the Baptist faith. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grand and great-grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He enjoyed Saints football and was a master mechanic. He will be sadly missed by those who loved him the most.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Richard Carlisle and Bobby Nelson Carlisle; and 1 sister, Frances Elaine Carlisle.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 happy years, Frances Carroll Carlisle; 2 sons, Glenn "Doug" Carlisle Jr. (Amanda) and Jamie Carroll (Brittni); 1 sister, Helen Edna Westmoreland (Bill); 5 grandchildren, Kailey Ritchey (Carlin), Brantley Carroll, Alaina E. Carlisle, Cassie E. Carlisle and Dalaneigh Jones; 1 great-grandchild, Reed Ritchie; with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers were Rusty Brown, Brantley Carroll, Greg Carroll, Shooter Tillman, Peyton Mcgehee, and Matt Williamson. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Blailock, Daniel Murphy, Anthony Roberts, and other McComb Firefighters.
