James B. Spring 1950 - 2025

James B. Spring, 74, of Smithdale, passed away on January 30, at his home after a long battle with cancer.

A visitation was held on February 1, at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 8:45AM to 10AM. A graveside service was held at his residence following the visitation starting at 10:30AM. Bro. Toby Jones did officiate.

James was born in Franklin County on February 3, 1950, to the late James William Spring and Eloweese Jones Spring.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister Marjorie Glenn Spring Roper; a brother Leroy Spring; and a sister-in-law Yolanda Spring.

Survivors include his 3 sons, Jamie Spring (Ashley), Josh Spring (Jessica), Justin Spring (Sarah); 1 daughter Traci Spring (James McNeil); 12 grandchildren: Dillon, Jackson, Dakota, Hayden, Chase, Madelyn, Marina, Brice, Isabella, Levi, Zoey and Abygail Spring; sisters Gloria Spring Wicker (David), Shellah Spring Young (Travis), Georgia Spring Daughdrill (Chris); brothers Joe Spring, Johnny Spring (Betty); a sister-in-law Janice Spring; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Pallbearers were Jamie Spring, Josh Spring, Justin Spring, Jackson Spring, Dakota Spring, and Hayden Spring. Honorary pallbearers were all of Mr. Spring’s grandchildren.
