Jeanna Songer

Jeanna Songer 1960 - 2025 Jeanna Songer was born on March 21, 1960, to Martin and Betty Brister and grew up in McComb. In 1982, she married the love of her life, Grieg Songer. Together they raised 2 children, Melissa and Chip. Jeanna and Grieg made their home in Muskogee, Oklahoma, where she was known for her warmth, kindness, and love for her family. She passed peacefully on October 29, 2025, surrounded by her children. She was preceded in death by her father, Martin Brister; her father- and motherin-law, Ruben and Nancy Songer; aunts Bobby Prestridge, Patsy Aikens, and Elizabeth Prestridge; uncle Phillip Prestridge; and sister-inlaw Lisa Hardcastle. She is survived by her husband, Grieg; her children and their spouses, Melissa and Jeremy Combs and Chip and Raina Songer; grandchildren Judah and Lincoln Kirts, Kutler, Merrick, and Avarie Combs, and Theodore, Edison, and Winifred Songer; her mother, Betty Brister; her sister and brotherin-law, Tammy and Mike Creel; her niece and her husband, Kamry and Tyler Wall, and their son, Michael; and her sister and sister-in-law, Judy and Beth Brister. A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 2, at Boulevard Christian Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 24, at 2PM at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, followed by a Celebration of Life Reception in the Fellowship Hall at North McComb Baptist Church.
