Jill Elizabeth Thompson Robinson 1972 - 2025
Jill Elizabeth Thompson Robinson passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and friends on Monday, May 5, 2025 after a 5 year courageous battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).
She was 52 years old. Jill was born on August 18, 1972 in McComb, to Larry and Elizabeth Thompson. She graduated from McComb High School in 1990 and then married the love of her life, Bobby Robinson. Together, they raised Bobby’s son, Justin Robinson, and their daughter, Nicole Robinson. They were married 33 years.
Jill worked as a paralegal for William Goodwin, A.A.L., LeeAnn Slipher, A.A.L., and Ben Regan, County Attorney for many years. She was a loving mother, a doting grandmother, a gracious daughter, a fun-loving friend, and a fiercely loyal wife. She was generous with her time, love, and resources. She loved children and helped raise not only her and Bobby’s children, but also those of others. She always left them with lots of love and fun memories. She was known as “Ji-Ji” to her grandchildren and many others.
Jill also had a strong passion for her many beloved pets over the years. Rottweilers, Pitbulls, Dachshunds and even a tortoise and a bald python brought her much joy and unconditional love. Jill was best known for her compassionate nature and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Her love for life, love for her family and friends, and love for her Heavenly Father inspires us to cherish those we hold dear and appreciate the time we have. Her never ending kindness, boundless grace, and heartfelt compassion touched the lives of so many. Her infinite love and sweet memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her dearly.
Jill was preceded in death by her father, Larry Thompson; her stepfather Bobby Sterling; her paternal grandparents, Claude and Mildred Thompson; and her maternal grandparents, Harold and Maxine Godbold; and a sister-in-law Janet Lee Armstrong.
