John W. "Dub" Stafford (1935-2026)

John W. "Dub" Stafford 1935 - 2026 John W. "Dub" Stafford, 90, a resident of McComb, passed away on June 22, 2026 at Walthall General Hospital.

He was born on October 22, 1935 to the late Earl B. Stafford and Dixie Stafford. Memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Hartman- Jones Funeral Home of McComb will be in charge of arrangements. Dub was a very active man and a hard worker. He enjoyed gar- dening, fishing, and hunting.

He was a Christian man. Dub was an active member of New Beginnings of Thomas, LA. He was a loving hus- band, father, grandfa- ther, and friend.

He never met a stranger! He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Jay Stafford; 1 sister, Mary Bankston; grandson, Steven Stafford; and 1 daugh- ter, Barbara Martin; and 1 great-granddaughter, Madison Nicholson.

He is survived by his wife of 56 happy years, Joyce Keating Stafford; 3 daughters, Judy Crain, Cathie Duhon (Wilbert), and Teresa Richardson (Stanley); 1 son, John E. Stafford (Michelle); 2 brothers Loyd E. Stafford (Nancy) and Tim Stafford; 1 sister Linda Hartzog (Ronnie); 8 grandchildren, Michelle (Gary), Cynthia (Wade), Krystal, Jonathan, Jason (Natalia), Amy (Justin), Kammie, and Rebecca; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchil- dren, with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
