Kurt Eugene Latimer 1966 - 2025 Kurt Eugene Latimer, 59, of Smithdale, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on July 27, 2025 at North Oaks Health Systems in Hammond, LA. No services are announced at this time. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in McComb, MS is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on January 7, 1966 in Delta, Colorado to Joe and Emily Latimer. He attended Apostolic Faith Chapel in Gilbert, LA.

Kurt was a carpenter by trade and a jack of all trades.

He loved rock and roll music, shrimp Po-boys, and his family. He loved Geocaching and trying to convince his family he needed a pet alligator. Kurt would want you to know that life is full of trouble, trials and hardships and you learn to have fun and get into some kind of trouble along the way!

He would give you the shirt off of his back and in these last few years of life he found the meaning of family. Kurt you will be missed and we will see you in heaven!

Kurt was preceded in death by his wife, Shanti Latimer.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Joe and Emily Latimer; sisters Betty Kothe, and LouCinda Mann (Mike); his significate other Sheila Johnson; sons Zachary Latimer, Nolan Latimer and Yorie Latimer; daughters Allison Wollerson (Tim), and Haley Boyd; special cousin Jamie Limberg (Tracy); 5 grandchildren Alexander Latimer, Elizabeth Latimer, Arryn Wollerson, Jacen Boyd, and Garland Boyd; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins and special friends David Magers, James Roberts and Heidi.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to his Go Fund Me Page.
