Dunaway 1954 - 2025

Lois Nell Dunaway, 71, of Liberty, passed away on October 12, 2025 at Billdora Senior Care in Tylertown.

A visitation was held October 14, at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 12PM until a memorial service at 2PM. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lois was born on January 19, 1954 to the late O’Neal LaFarlett and Bonnie Nell McLeroy.

She lived life to the fullest, and danced to her own drum. She enjoyed Alabama Football and an ice cold Coors Light. She was always known as a flower child and life of the party. She loved her family as well as her animals, especially her beloved baby Hazel. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother Vernon O’Neal LaFarlett; and 1 brother-in-law Robert Millwood.

She is survived by her son, Christopher B. Kolonay (Calana Louann); 2 grandchildren Austin C. Kolonay (Hannah) and Ashley Daniella Kolonay; 1 great-granddaughter Jennifer Louann Gayle Kolonay; one special step-son Jason Dunaway; two sisters Emily Millwood and Nancy Tolbert; one brother Jeffery Michael LaFarlett (Anna); along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
