Marcum Smith

Marcum Smith 1923 - 2025 Marcum Smith, 102, of Summit, passed away at Forrest General Hospital on July 11. A visitation was held Wednesday, July 16, at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 11AM until services at 1PM. Burial was at the First United Pentecostal Church Cemetery and Rev. Darrell Clark did officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Marcum was born on June 13, 1923 in Harlan Co., Kentucky to the late John Frank Smith and Martha Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Rose Smith; 1 son Bobby Smith; 1 granddaughter Jennifer Smith; 1 great-grandson Eric Clark; 1 great-great grandson Sawyer Smith; and 8 siblings.

He is survived by 4 children Mark (Kathy) Smith, Dan (Cindy) Smith, Peggy (Darrel) Clark, and Judy (Raymond) Duke; 13 grandchildren Shane (Amy) Smith, Brandon (Rainstorm) Smith, Jeremy (Susan) Smith, Rashonda (Mark) Waldrop, Stephen (Misty) Smith, Mindy (Brent) Guyton, Jody (Shane) Berry, Jonathan Smith, Jesse (Gwenelle) Smith, Brannon (Christie) Clark, Jamie (Jessica) Duke, Micah (Amie) Duke and Justin (Misty) Duke; 28 greatgrandchildren; 10 greatgreat grandchildren along with 3 more greatgreat grands on the way at this time; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Smith, Jonathan Smith, Jesse Smith, Zachary Smith, Mark Waldrop, and Brannon Clark.
