Mary DeFraites (1936-2025)

Mary DeFraites 1936 - 2025 Mary DeFraites, 89, a resident of McComb, passed away on October 25, 2025 at Camellia Estates.

A visitation will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 12PM until services at 1PM. Bro. Jim Dalton will officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna, LA at a later date.

Mary was born on July 15, 1936 to the late Harry Leroy Lansdell and Essie Brown Lansdell in McComb.

Mary was of the Christian faith and believed that Jesus was her Lord and Savior. She was very involved in her church and the Golden Eagles Ministry. Although she lived a quiet life, she was very giving and loved her family dearly. She was preced

ed in death by her parents; her husband Sydney DeFraites, Jr.; her sister Dolores L. Williams; and her granddaughter Christine DeFraites.

She is survived

by her son Sydney DeFraites, III and his wife, Angie; 2 grandchildren: Samantha DeFraites, Michelle DeFraites Carter and husband T.C.; and a sister Lynda L. Phillips; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
