Nancy C. Flowers, age 79, passed away September 29, at her home in Holiday, FL. She was born in Magnolia and moved to Florida with her husband in 2015 from Vicksburg, where she had lived starting in 1971.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bud and Betty Jo; and by her brother Tom Flowers of Phoenix, AZ.

Nancy is survived by her husband Allen Teeter and her sister Anna Flowers; by her children Jody Rhodes, and Rusty Rhodes; by her stepdaughter Cameron Teeter; and by her granddaughter Luna Teeter Paluck. Nieces and nephews include: Kate KY and Abby Jane LA; Michelle AZ and Scott VA.

Nancy earned a BA degree in education and received graduate training in early childhood education. She taught grades K thru 3 in Vicksburg public schools for many years. She helped start a church preschool and a church after school programs at two different churches. She was also a school librarian and loved books and reading them. Nancy was a member of the elite Vicksburg Book Club.

Nancy was active in Methodist and Episcopal Churches in Mississippi and was a member of Good Shepard, Dunedin. Nancy was a fun loving person, quick with a smile, and a lot of fun to be around. She belonged to many hobby groups over the years involved in quilting, needle point, knitting, and garment sewing.
