Not only did Donald J. Trump win the office of President and JD Vance win the office of Vice President, but they and their modest administration have achieved more acclaim from Americans in seven days than anything Biden and Harris built back better in four years. That’s totally understandable considering all the things they were credited with rebuilding like inflation.

Of course Biden-Harris set two all time records that may stand a long time: the number of illegal migrants crossing our southern border in any year and the location and number of hundreds of thousands of unaccompanied children who have crossed the border.

Americans have no need to dwell on or fear the past. It’s gone! Let’s move on to working together. We have a lot of opportunities to solve challenges with common sense. Our political leaders at every level have ample opportunities to solve challenges with common sense.

Scientifically speaking, common sense rarely rises above committee room floors camouflaged with imperceptible patterns.

Real solutions come from the least expected places. How many times have we seen those who have to use their heads to earn a living develop a plan that has utterly confounded some of the most credentialed among us? I have personally heard a small group of young children discuss how to build models with nothing more than a few hundred legos! Maybe that’s why so many of President Trump’s critics pounce on any of his comments.

Number one: they don’t realize what a sense of humor he has.

Remember when COVID-19 began at the end of his first term? At a “presser” President Trump said he had read on a can of Lysol or another antiseptic that Lysol kills viruses like COVID. He said, “So, maybe we should just shoot some into us!”

IT WAS A JOKE! Jen Psaki cited that as misinformation President Trump used to give!

These days in between times when President Trump’s overseeing efforts to clear up and restore hurricane damage in North Carolina and Tennessee, meeting with the people who have lost everything, and comforting those who have lost neighbors, friends, and friends, he’s meeting with his own workers to see what needs to be done to help particularly the hopeless and to do the impossible.

Then he catches a plane and a couple of helicopters to survey the fire damage on the West Coast. He repeats his actions, talking with workers who are trying to clear and clean up the damage, and talking with those who have lost so much. President Trump is an action kind of guy. He wants to hear about it from those who’ve suffered the most, and he wants to hear solutions from those who should know or knows somebody who knows. That makes sense. Common sense.

Americans have endured the last four years of bad decisions made by out-of-touch people whose minds are rooted in Washington, D.C. Folks in East Palestine, Ohio, suffered much damage from Washington responders after the train derailment on February 3, 2023. What little aid that did come from Washington was really a lot of bad advice. Let’s hope President Trump’s critics will give the rest of us a break this time around from criticism that was as flawed as Biden-Harris’ solutions during their only term.
