Patricia "Pat" Aston Rainey

Patricia (Pat) Aston Rainey, born August 29, 1943, went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2026 at her home in Gillsburg.

A visitation was held on February 14, at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 9AM until services at 11AM. Burial was at Hollywood Cemetery and Dr. Victor Walsh did officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born to parents William Aston and Nellie Musselwhite in Birmingham, Alabama. She was raised in Mobile, attending Dauphin Way Baptist Church, and graduating from Murphy High School in 1961. She married Ronnie Rainey on December 17, 1971.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Courtney Mashon Rainey; her father William Morris Aston; her stepfather and mother Charles and Nellie Musselwhite Stanley; her brother Charles Stanley, Jr.; and sister Andrea Stanley.

Pat is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ronnie Rainey; son and daughter-in-law Grant and Kimberly Rainey; grandsons Lincoln and Walker Rainey.

A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Dignity Hospice for their compassionate care for Pat in her last months as well as the many caregivers she had over the last few years.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Pat to Gillsburg Baptist Church Youth Ministry or Shriners Children's Hospital.

Honorary pallbearers were Lincoln and Walker Rainey.
