Paul Leon Deer 1941 - 2025 Paul Leon Deer, 83, of McComb, passed away on June 30, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. Visitation will be Friday July 11, at New Heights Baptist Church from 10AM until services at 11AM. Dr. Robert Netterville, Dr. David Millican and Dr. Jim Futral will officiate and burial will be in Pike Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McComb. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb will be in charge of arrangements. Paul was born October 30, 1941 in McComb, MS to the late, Ray and Fay Kirkland Deer. Paul was a retired Photographer and he was in the film industry for a number of years. He served faithfully at Central Baptist Church as an Audio Visual Technician. He also was a member at New Heights Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a well respected local business man. He lived life to the end and was a good and gentle man, he loved people and it took alot to make him mad. He enjoyed fishing, friends, movies, coffee and paintings. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Brenda Deer. He is survived by his long time special friend Connie Simmons; numerous cousins and very special “coffee” friends and school friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to New Heights Baptist Church, The American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
