Philip G. Planchard, Jr. 1953 - 2026 Philip G. Planchard Jr., 72, of Fernwood, passed away on July 6, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Services to be announced at a later time. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements. Philip was born in McComb, on September 21, 1953.

He is the son of the late, Philip G. Planchard Sr., and Jesse Mae Neal Planchard. Philip was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Magnolia where he served as a deacon.

He served as a Fireman where he served as Deputy Chief (Smoke Divers) and then served in the 911 Magnolia office. He then became McComb Fire Inspector and then retired. He loved the outdoors, hunting and working on vehicles.

He loved and enjoyed his wife, family, grandchildren and his pets. He will be sadly missed by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Marilyn Planchard Holmes.

He is survived by his wife of 53 happy years, Judith "Judi" White Planchard; 3 sons, Philip G. Planchard III (Felicia), Michael Paul Planchard and Jeffrey Neal Planchard; 2 sisters, Sybil Planchard Holmes (David) and Cynthia Planchard Laird (David); 3 grandchildren, Cori Coburn (Owen), Connor Paul Planchard and Phoebe Planchard; 1 great-grandchild, Braxton Coburn with numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to McComb Fire Department Donation Fund 1241 Parklane Rd.
