Shelby Dakota Brent 1999 - 2025

Shelby Dakota Brent, 26, a resident of Magnolia, passed away on December 4, 2025 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.

A visitation was held Saturday, December 6, at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 12PM until services at 2PM.

Shelby was born on October 1, 1999 to Swain Allen Brent and Robin Rawls. He was his mom’s baby and always had a smile on his face. He was a small fella with a big heart according to his dad. He never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his brother Tyler Rawls; his grandparents Carolyn and John Batte, Major Brent, and W.L. Rawls.

He is survived by his parents; his grandmother Judy Rawls; his aunts Annette Hales, Lisa Burris (Tyrone), and Rhonda Summerall (Tracy); his uncle Robbie Dillon (Lisa); and numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers were Robbie Dillon, Logan Dillon, Dalton Dillon, Austin Thompson, and Tyrone Burris.
