Shirley Ann Givens Nunnery

Shirley Ann Givens Nunnery, 87, of McComb, passed away on February 22, 2026 at the Diversicare of Tylertown. She was born August 14, 1938 in Brookhaven. She is the daughter of the late, Marshall Bud and Mable Florence Boutwell Givens. Visitation will be held on March 7, from 12-Noon until services at 2PM at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb. Rev. Michael Didon will officiate. Shirley was of the Baptist faith and a wonderful home maker. She loved to sew and do all sorts of arts and crafts. She enjoyed vacations and traveling with her family and family reunions. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Mary Alice G. Cutrer, Mattie Lou G. Pickett and Margaret L. 'Dago' Holmes Rogers; her brothers, Franklin L. 'Buddy' Givens, Marshall R. Givens and Elmer L. 'Buck' Holmes; 2 grandchildren Jayce D. Thames and Brent J. Whittington. Survivors include her children and grandchildren, Randall W. Flippen (Denise) their children, Jeremy W. Flippen (Heather), James 'Derek' Flippen (Ashley) and Shannon A. Vessier (Landon); Lisa F. Hopkins (Bill) her children, Chris Thompson (Christy), Casey L. Thompson (Sadie), Cody L. Thompson (Amanda); Debbie S. Vede (Jason) their children, Brent Jordan Whittington (deceased); Leslie 'Dee Dee' S. Thames her children, Marshall 'Bud' Hill, Jayce D. Thames (deceased); Sherry S. Pine (Buddy) their children, Ross T. Pine (Marie), Logan L. Pine (Blaze). Herman 'Brad' Pace (Jennifer deceased), his children, Taylor Gordan (Caleb), Bradleigh D. Pace. Her 29 great-grandchildren; Her great-great grandchild, Koa Flippen. Her sister in-law, Lucy Cutrer Givens with numerous nieces and nephews, special mention of her 3 nieces, Billie N. Pylate, Jackie F. Nobles and Norma 'Gale' Pylate, and long time family member Kell Shirley Thompson.
