Call to worship was by the Praise Team and Choir as they led us in beautiful music. Then the children’s story time was by Bud Spencer. This is a highlight that the children really look forward to each Sunday morning service. The Children passed out roses to all the Mothers. Special music was by Dennis Lea “Thank You Mother.” Bro. LaVerne Summerlin’s message was “Praise to Mom” from Proverbs 31:10.

We did not meet for an evening service.

The Golden Ager for the week is Bobby McDaniel, so remember him with a card, call or visit.

Prayers are still needed for the complete healing for Sarah Williams daughter Crystall. She is improving.

We received word of Lula Lea Taylor Robbins death. Plans are for her funeral service to be held at Terry’s Creek Church Saturday, May 20. At this time I do not have a time for the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

JoAnn Cook had surgery to remove her toe last Monday. Everything went good and she was able to go back to her room at Camellia Estates that evening. Continue to pray for her healing.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Lorena Byrd who went to her Heavenly home Friday, May 12. Services were held Wednesday at Thompson Baptist Church in Smithdale. Dr. David Millican and Rev. Rob Westbrook officiated. She is survived by her husband Ronald Byrd, daughter Rhonda Touchstone and her husband Eric, son Wayne and his wife Anna, and son Robert Byrd, and son Russell and his wife Libby, and many grandchildren.

Continue to pray for Elaine Williams Hutchins who needs our prayers. And there are so many on our prayer list who need prayer.
