William "Bill" Durham, 79, from Brookhaven, passed peacefully from this world on January 25, 2026 in Brookhaven. He was surrounded by family and friends.
A visitation was held on February 3, at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb from 10AM until services at 12 noon. Rev. Wade Barnes officiated and burial was in Durham Cemetery in Magnolia.
Bill was born in Magnolia, on April 2, 1946. He is the son of the late Menton D. Durham I and Hilda Coon Durham. Bill was a member of East Union Baptist church of Magnolia, where his dad was a deacon. He loved to fish, play cards, watch westerns "John Wayne" and, most of all, spend time with his family and friends. He was a dairy milk hand (favorite job, Stewart Dairy in Gillsburg) and a security guard at Seago Lumber until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers Thomas "Tommy" Durham Sr. and John David Durham (Infant); 2 sister-in-laws Charlotte Durham and Cathy Durham; 1 brother-in-law Charles Laird; 1 nephew Richard "Ricky" Laird; and previous wife Eunice Westmoreland.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Donna Boyd Durham; 4 daughters Syble "Michelle" Durham, Amanda "Manda Faye" Morel (Terry), Christina "Christy" Boyd (Jacob), and Kimberly "Kim" Taylor (Will); 1 son William "Jack" Durham (Debra); 1 sister Linda Laird (C.W.); 2 brothers Clifton Durham, and Menton Durham II (Ann); 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with 2 arriving soon and numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Ralph Case and Mikel Chisholm.
Pallbearers were Jacob Boyd, Jennifer Spradlin, Terry Morel, Lee Thornhill, Christian Garrison, and Trent Kohnert. Honorary Pallbearers were his grandsons Justin Durham, Allan Kohnert, Devin Kohnert, Blake Boyd, Dakota Floyd, Frank Durham, and his friends Jake Dykes, Johnny Knight, and Bruce Hedrick and Sammy Barnes.
